Louisville's season ended on Tuesday night with a 94-85 loss to NC State in the ACC tournament. Payne has yet to speak with Louisville AD Josh Heird. Louisville finished with a 8-24 record this season. Payne's overall record was 12-52. Louisville is expected to owe Payne around $8 million to buy out his contract.
